Dear Donor,

What could be more important than providing young people in our community with a variety of activities to enrich and encourage them to dream and excel?

Here in East Hartford, Young-Educated-Determined to Succeed, Inc (YEDS) has become a strong participant in providing activities for local children between the ages of 6 and 19. Beyond a safe space to explore their dreams, YEDS offers leadership development, physical fitness, and educational activities to prepare beyond today for their dreams and challenges of tomorrow.

YEDS is deeply invested in the experience of our children and promoting a better community for all. Unfortunately, we cannot do it alone. So this is why we are turning to you, as an organization located in the Greater Hartford area, to assist us in making a stronger and more vibrant landscape here.

We are asking for your help. Why not join us at YEDS with a tax-deductible contribution and become one of the people directed at improving our community? Thanks to the wonderful volunteers that help make YEDS a reality, our need for financial assistance truly means the tangible products and services needed to provide the programming that does benefit the children we serve. The brochure provided shows YEDS and our impact on the people who mean so much: our children. Click here for brochure

What should you give? Consider these examples of what your gifts can and will mean to the children involved.

  • A tax-deductible gift of $500 will buy the workbooks and stipends necessary to help 5 students begin their own businesses

  • A gift of $1000 will enable us to send three students to the Leadership Academy

  • A gift of $1500 will help defray the costs of transporting our Diamond Elite Dance Team to their next competition

  • A one-time gift of $5000 will enable YEDS to purchase a van to transport our students to their events and competitions

There is no gift too small or too large, the only gift we will miss is the one not given. We thank you for considering our request and one of our key people will be contacting you to discuss your involvement with our organization.

Margaret Mead once said, “Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed citizens can change the world; indeed, it's the only thing that ever has.” Please join us and help make the YEDS work here in our community even more effective!
